Earlier this year, ZEISS launched a new platform for 3D scanning, which Zebicon is now a part of.

HandsOnMetrology combines the handheld 3D laser scanners from ZEISS with the smallest GOM 3D scanners. This new product portfolio is more economically accessible and meets the requirements of an even larger target audience.

"With HandsOnMetrology we focus on departments and businesses which have a higher need for mobility and wish to get started quickly with 3D scanning for, model making, reverse engineering, and simple measurement,” says Jeppe H. Laursen, CEO of Zebicon.

Reverse engineering, maintenance, and quality control
The HandsOnMetrology product portfolio meets the requirements for both reverse engineering, maintenance, and quality control. This makes these 3D scanners relevant for everything from designers, museum researchers, and R&D, to departments of quality control with many different parts or small part series.

Because of the high mobility and low price point, the systems are specifically attractive to teams, where scanning jobs are development-oriented or done ad hoc.
